Who am I?
Who am I?
Hello! I am Douglas Calderón, a forestry engineer graduated from the National University of Colombia - Medellín campus.
As a professional, I am characterized by my ethics, commitment and practical approach. My academic training has provided me with outstanding skills in teaching and the effective transmission of knowledge, as well as fluent oral expression. Throughout my career, I have strengthened my skills in personnel management and organization, which has allowed me to contribute significantly to various forestry projects.
Over the past six (6) years, I have put my knowledge and skills into practice in the execution of various forestry projects, including forest nurseries, compensation plans, evaluation and characterization of forest stands, vegetation inventories, biotic components in the preparation of EIAs and cartography using tools such as ArcGIS and QGis.
My professional goal is to achieve a balance between offering a quality service that benefits all parties involved and developing projects that promote the sustainable use of natural resources, both from an environmental and economic point of view.
I am here to offer my experience and support in a variety of forest management projects. For example, I can help you select the right trees for your Medellin farm's landscaping, or assist in formulating the establishment and management plan for a forest plantation in or around Medellin.
I look forward to the opportunity to work together and contribute to the success of your projects!

Get to know my story
An impressive past
Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of participating in a variety of projects related to natural resource management. From the selection of seed sources in the high Andean forest to the preparation of Environmental Impact Studies for mining projects, my experience covers different areas of the forestry field.
In 2023, I had the opportunity to work as a protected areas professional in the declaration of two new Regional Natural Parks in Chocó and Tolima. This project represented a milestone in my career, as I was able to directly contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and the establishment of protected areas for future generations.
In addition, between July and December of the same year, I was part of the team evaluating applications for forestry exploitation permits in the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley. This experience allowed me to closely understand the challenges and opportunities related to forest management in an urban and peri-urban environment.
My passion for the environment and my commitment to sustainability are the driving force behind my work. I am committed to implementing projects that promote the responsible use of natural resources, such as the certification of forest nurseries and advice on the proper management of natural forests.

Mission and vision
Mission and vision
As a professional and human being, it is very important for me to provide a quality professional service that allows for the generation of bidirectional value (client <- -> server) in which both parties benefit.
As a forestry engineer, the above must occur at the same time as projects are being developed that allow the use of natural forest resources through environmentally and economically sustainable practices.
